Senior Financial Controller

About the role

Based at the headquarters in Lisbon and reporting directly to the Group CFO, the Senior Financial Controller will oversee treasury, financing and internal reporting for JOINCO’s entities in China and the UAE.

Key responsibilities

• Execute and manage payments, receipts, payroll, taxes and liquidity planning including 13‑week forecasts.
• Manage international and local banking relationships, KYC, credit lines and working‑capital facilities.
• Supervise trade finance instruments such as letters of credit, bank guarantees and import/export financing.
• Design and implement FX risk‑hedging policies covering CNY/CNH and USD exposures.
• Oversee accounting operations, invoicing, statutory and tax reporting for the China and Dubai entities.
• Coordinate intragroup flows, support transfer‑pricing policies and liaise with local auditors and tax authorities.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Finance.
• At least 10 years of experience in corporate treasury or finance within multinationals or trading groups.
• Fluency in English; Mandarin, Arabic or Portuguese is a plus.
• Previous experience in China/Asia or the UAE/Middle East and familiarity with SAFE regulations is preferred.
