Senior Financial Controller

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Financial Controller to join our international team. The role sits in the second line of defense, focusing on financial control, validation, and continuous improvement of financial processes across the EMEA region.

Key responsibilities

• Execute quarterly closing controls for multiple entities, meeting tight deadlines.
• Prepare financial reporting for control committees.
• Perform ad‑hoc analyses on financial, tax, and accounting processes.
• Identify risks, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improvement.
• Document controls, results, and evidence in a structured manner.
• Contribute to the evolution and optimisation of control frameworks.
• Collaborate with local and international teams.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Accounting, Auditing or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in auditing (preferably Big 4) or a similar role.
• Experience in the financial services sector is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounting, internal control and IFRS standards (IFRS 9 a plus).
• Familiarity with financial products such as financing and markets.
• Fluent English (C1 minimum); French is a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel and MS Office.
• Data‑analytics tools (e.g., Power BI) – a plus.
• Knowledge of IFRS standards, including IFRS 9.
• Understanding of data quality and control frameworks (e.g., BCBS 239) – a plus.
