About the role

Join Catawiki’s Finance team as a Senior Financial Accountant and own the numbers behind a marketplace that sells extraordinary objects daily. Based in Portugal, you will collaborate closely with colleagues in the Netherlands and support a fast‑growing international business.

Key responsibilities

• Own selected month‑end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations and balance‑sheet reviews.
• Manage accounting areas or entities through the close process with a focus on accuracy, completeness and timely delivery.
• Act as a key Finance partner to Payroll, ensuring accurate payroll processing and payment controls.
• Analyse financial movements and variances and provide clear insights to stakeholders.
• Ensure accounting activities are performed in line with internal policies and reporting requirements.
• Support internal and external audit processes as needed.

Required profile

• Strong accounting fundamentals and a proactive mindset.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of accounting responsibilities.
• Comfortable operating in a collaborative remote setup.
• Experience in an international, fast‑moving environment.
