Senior Electrical Engineer – Nuclear

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join a project team focused on the design, modification, and analysis of nuclear power plant electrical systems. You will work on challenging projects that require troubleshooting, detailed calculations, and coordination with multiple engineering disciplines.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review engineering design change packages for equipment upgrades and replacements.
• Perform detailed AC/DC power studies, short‑circuit analysis, cable ampacity, voltage drop, breaker coordination, motor starting, and protective relay settings.
• Develop equipment procurement specifications and support bid review and vendor evaluation processes.
• Create scoping documents for conceptual designs and conduct constructability reviews.
• Interface with mechanical, structural, civil, and I&C teams, as well as with clients and vendors.
• Attend client meetings, site walk‑downs, and travel to vendor or plant locations for design verification.
• Support site installation activities and assist the project manager to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
• Track progress, resolve open items, and produce status reports for stakeholders.

Required profile

• Electrical Engineering degree from an ABET‑accredited program.
• Minimum five years of experience designing electrical systems in a project‑team environment.
• Eligibility to work in the United States (no sponsorship provided).
