Senior Customer Training Specialist - Hugo RAS Technology

About the role

Medtronic is looking for a Senior Customer Training Specialist to join its European Robotics Surgical Team. You will use your technical expertise and clinical experience to train, educate and inspire surgeons, first assistants and OR staff from a variety of surgical specialties on the Medtronic Hugo RAS robot. The role suits someone who enjoys a high-tech environment, likes travelling and spends time with international colleagues and customers at a training centre in Belgium. It is open to Portuguese-speaking employees willing to travel 75% of the time.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver education and training on the Medtronic Hugo Robotic Assisted Surgery technology, covering surgical indications in General Surgery, Urology and Gynaecology
• Support clinical education programmes and events and deliver technical training
• Support laboratory sessions and hands-on workshops
• Use a structured teaching methodology to assess the efficiency and safety of trainees
• Master the robotic surgery ecosystem, including surgical equipment, instruments and digital infrastructure
• Work with Sales, Clinical teams, Medical Affairs and surgical proctors to set expectations for training programmes

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree and more than 5 years of experience in training, field sales, sales support, clinical or technical roles in the medical device or healthcare industry
• Medical device experience with laparoscopic and/or robotic assisted surgery technologies
• Clinical and/or operating room experience
• Fluency in Portuguese and English
• Willingness to travel 75% of the time

Required skills

• Knowledge of RAS system technology, applications and advanced technology
• Understanding of OR efficiency and the training pathway process
• Training and coaching techniques and methodologies
• Experience designing, developing, delivering and evaluating technical education and training, including blended learning solutions

What we offer

• Salary range in Portugal of 40,000 EUR to 60,000 EUR per year
