Senior Brand Designer – Brand Foundations

About the role

Payward is looking for a Senior Brand Designer to own and evolve its core brand system. You will set the standards that enable product teams across the company to deliver consistent, high‑quality brand experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain brand guidelines, component libraries, templates, and asset repositories used daily by product pods.
• Raise brand quality across teams by providing clear tools, guidance, and a higher creative bar.
• Define visual identity standards for emerging surfaces, AI‑generated outputs, motion, and new product categories.
• Collaborate with designers, marketers, and product partners to identify systemic issues and create root‑cause solutions.
• Translate complex crypto‑rail and on‑chain finance concepts into usable brand guidance for non‑design specialists.
• Lead design reviews with constructive feedback that opens creative possibilities.
• Stay ahead of evolving design tools, including AI, and adapt the brand system accordingly.

Required profile

• Deep experience as a brand designer in agency, in‑house, or hybrid environments.
• Proven track record of building and evolving brand systems, not just executing within them.
• Systems‑thinking mindset, spotting patterns and solving structural problems.
• Strong expertise in visual identity, brand architecture, and motion design.
• Strategic orientation, comfortable working upstream of execution.
• Excellent communication skills for articulating brand concepts to diverse stakeholders.
