Senior Associate Scrum Master

About the role

Amgen's capability centre in Portugal hosts an interdisciplinary team working on full-stack AI and cloud solutions, native and COTS pipelines, and DevOps and cloud technologies. As a Senior Associate Scrum Master you will facilitate Agile practices and help sprint planning, execution and delivery of features, improvements, validations and data integration, empowering your team to collaborate efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Use agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines to enable product delivery, continuous innovation and milestone tracking with product managers and technical teams.
• Work with engineering and business teams so the product backlog becomes a product plan of record with clear execution paths, milestones, dependencies and change management.
• Communicate product status and metrics to cross-group teams, product owners, partners and executive management.
• Build strong relationships with upstream and downstream stakeholders and turn their needs into rapid cloud-deliverables.
• Help drive a culture of custom software development and product management across Amgen.

Required profile

• Master's degree in computer science or engineering with 1 to 3 years of relevant experience, or Bachelor's degree with 3 to 5 years, or diploma with 8+ years of experience.
• Certified Scrum Master or SAFe Scrum Master (mandatory).
• Willingness to work between 11:00 and 20:00 to support the North America team.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum and the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
• Prior experience with Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence and Jira Align.
• Experience guiding teams through Scrum events and techniques such as refinement, story splitting, estimation, velocity and retrospectives.
• Understanding of SDLC, DevOps and test automation processes.
• Preferred: Certified SAFe Practitioner, PMP, and experience leading agile teams with DevOps/CI/CD pipelines, AI or cloud projects.
