Senior Android Engineer – Build AI‑Powered 3D Design Apps

About the role

Planner 5D is seeking a Senior Android Engineer to create next‑generation mobile experiences for millions of users. You will work on AI‑powered 3D design tools, optimise performance, and experiment with cutting‑edge features that push the limits of mobile design.

Key responsibilities

• Develop complex features ranging from custom views and APIs to 2D/3D graphics, VR, AI and CRDT implementations.
• Build a modular codebase, conduct thorough code reviews and adhere to best‑practice coding guidelines.
• Utilise popular Android libraries and Kotlin solutions across the product stack.
• Participate in all stages of product development, from pixel‑perfect UI to analytics, payments and user authentication.
• Write unit and integration tests, refactor existing code, improve implementations and fix bugs.
• Collaborate closely with developers, designers and product managers.

Required profile

• 7+ years of professional Android development experience.
• Strong knowledge of Android SDK, Dagger, Jetpack, Apache Commons and related frameworks.
• Deep understanding of SOLID, STUPID principles, design patterns, testing and documentation.
• Proficiency in Kotlin and Java.
• Experience with SQL, SQLite, Room databases.
• Expertise in concurrent development using Kotlin coroutines and RxJava.
• Familiarity with REST, JSON, XML, HTML, Git and Protobuf.
• Fluent English communication skills.
