Senior Analog Design Engineer

About the role

Synopsys is seeking a Senior Analog Design Engineer to advance the efficiency of analog design flows within its IP Group. You will work with cutting‑edge simulation tools and collaborate across teams to accelerate time‑to‑market for high‑performance silicon chips.

Key responsibilities

• Perform analog design simulation and analysis using in‑development tools and flows.
• Provide feedback to internal tools teams to improve functionality and usability.
• Document methods, create training materials, and share best practices with internal designers.
• Enhance the analog design flow to increase efficiency and reduce design cycle time.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless integration of design tools.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in electrical engineering (BSc with 2+ years experience or MSc).
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
• Team‑player mindset with a proactive approach to debugging and issue resolution.
• Ability to produce clear, concise documentation and training content.

Required skills

• Analog design simulation using SPICE notation.
• Experience with Synopsys Custom Compiler and Cadence Virtuoso.
• Proficiency with EDA tools for schematic entry, physical layout, and design verification.
• Knowledge of AC, DC, transient, and Monte‑Carlo verification methodologies.
• Design for optimal Power‑Performance‑Area (PPA) trade‑offs.
