Senior AI Product Manager

About the role

1GLOBAL, a technology-driven global mobile communications provider, is looking for a Senior Product Manager to own AI and automation initiatives that improve how its teams work, starting with Connect API and the workflows behind its connectivity platform. The role involves finding problems worth solving, defining requirements and working with AI and platform engineers to ship tools that reduce manual effort and improve reliability. It is based in Lisbon with a hybrid workplace.

Key responsibilities

• Lead discovery with internal users and workflow owners to find where AI or automation makes a measurable difference.
• Own the vision, roadmap and backlog, prioritizing value, impact, effort and risk, and deciding what to pursue, defer or stop.
• Turn user needs into clear requirements, acceptance criteria and success measures, including exceptions and human review.
• Work with AI and platform engineers from discovery to rollout, agreeing on evaluation and release criteria and, with security and compliance, requirements for access, sensitive data and human approval.
• Deliver value from day one by staying hands-on, finding high-friction workflows and shipping working improvements early, with a continuous cadence of incremental delivery.

Required profile

• 5+ years in product management, with end-to-end ownership of technical products, APIs, platforms or internal tools.
• Hands-on experience delivering AI-native capabilities or AI-enabled workflows, able to explain decisions, adoption and results.
• Comfortable prototyping your own ideas with AI coding and automation tools.
• Clear written and verbal English; Portuguese or German is a plus.

Required skills

• Practical understanding of LLM capabilities and limits, including retrieval from internal knowledge and tools or API calling.
• Ability to use product data and user feedback to set baselines and assess impact.
• Good to have: familiarity with MCP, SQL, API testing, a software engineering or computer science background.
