Senior Accounting Auditor

About the role

Axians is seeking a Senior Accounting Auditor with experience in accounting control or audit within the banking and financial sector. You will oversee accounting control frameworks, ensure compliance, and support risk mitigation across multiple entities and regions.

Key responsibilities

• Acquire a strong understanding of accounting control frameworks and assess the quality of controls across assigned entities and regions.
• Ensure implementation, monitoring, and effectiveness of accounting control plans and perform oversight reviews of local control environments.
• Identify, assess, and report accounting control deficiencies, supporting remediation plans and governance reporting.
• Analyse accounting certifications, evaluate control processes, and contribute to the preparation of management reports.
• Monitor audit recommendations, operational risk incidents, and participate in internal control and financial risk committee activities.

Required profile

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in control, finance, or audit.
• Previous experience within the banking and/or financial sector is highly valued.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge.
• Ability to work with governance bodies, finance teams, and multiple stakeholders.
• Advanced level of English (written and spoken).

• Strong accounting expertise and knowledge of financial control frameworks.
• Ability to analyse complex financial and accounting processes.
