Senior Accounting Auditor

About the role

Axians is seeking a Senior Accounting Auditor to strengthen accounting control practices across multiple entities and regions. You will work closely with finance stakeholders and senior management to ensure compliance, mitigate risk, and support governance activities within the banking and financial sector.

Key responsibilities

• Develop a deep understanding of accounting control frameworks and assess the quality of controls for assigned entities and regions.
• Implement, monitor, and evaluate accounting control plans, conducting oversight reviews of local control environments.
• Identify, assess, and report accounting control deficiencies, supporting remediation plans and governance reporting.
• Analyse accounting certifications, evaluate control processes, and contribute to management reporting.
• Monitor audit recommendations, operational risk incidents, and participate in internal control and financial risk committee activities.

Required profile

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in control, finance, or audit, preferably within banking or financial services.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and ability to work with governance bodies and multiple stakeholders.
• Advanced written and spoken English.
