Sales Specialist - Electrification (Medium Voltage)

About the role

ABB is looking for a Sales Specialist for its Electrification business in Portugal, reporting to the Area Sales Manager. The role is accountable for sales of medium voltage products and systems, driving sales volumes and margins, and building lasting customer relationships. It is a hybrid position with frequent travel in Portugal.

Key responsibilities

• Drive sales of medium voltage products and systems in the Electrification business in Portugal
• Build enduring customer relationships through excellent service and develop new sales opportunities
• Work with marketing and other departments to prepare sales plans and bids with technical and financial accuracy
• Identify and develop new market opportunities with the wider sales team
• Use knowledge of customer needs and ABB's solutions to propose effective solutions
• Monitor customer and market trends with marketing to develop marketing activities
• Work on client projects, such as collaborations with industry and utilities

Required profile

• Electrical or electronic engineering degree and fluent English
• More than 6 years of experience selling medium voltage products and systems, including low voltage switchgear, in distribution, OEM and panel builder channels
• Proven ability to develop and manage customer relationships
• Valid driving licence in Portugal
• Desirable: sound knowledge of medium voltage and electric mobility markets

Required skills

• Knowledge of SAP and Salesforce is a plus
• Strong written and spoken communication skills
