Retail Store Manager

About the role

The Retail Store Manager will lead Knickerbocker’s flagship store, Stock Room & Café, in Porto. This full‑time, on‑site position is responsible for day‑to‑day store operations, ensuring a seamless blend of retail, café, and event experiences that reflect the brand’s commitment to quality and longevity.

Key responsibilities

• Open and close the store, manage cash handling and ensure a clean, organized environment.
• Oversee merchandising, inventory control, and loss‑prevention practices.
• Lead and coach a team to deliver consistent, thoughtful customer service.
• Monitor sales performance, prepare reports, and collaborate with regional and headquarters teams on promotions.
• Support local events and coordinate with cross‑functional partners in design, production, and operations.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑focused mindset with proven ability to create a welcoming store experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for team leadership and cross‑functional coordination.
• Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and problem‑solving abilities with an inclusive management style.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Porto, including weekends and holidays, and stand for extended periods.
• Fluent English; Portuguese or additional languages are a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with basic POS systems.
• Experience in sales reporting and routine store administration tasks.
