Restaurant Manager (M/F) – Lisbon

About the role

BARBELA, a contemporary restaurant in Lisbon led by Chef Leandro Carreira, is seeking a full‑time Restaurant Manager to lead front‑of‑house operations. You will ensure an exceptional guest experience while coordinating closely with the kitchen and leadership team.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise service teams, manage reservations, and optimise seating arrangements.
• Coordinate daily activities with the kitchen to maintain high standards of food and beverage presentation.
• Monitor customer satisfaction, handle guest feedback, and implement service procedures.
• Support hiring, onboarding, training and performance management of staff.
• Create staff schedules, assist with inventory control and cost management.
• Uphold health, safety and hygiene regulations.
• Collaborate with Chef Leandro Carreira on service concepts and special events.

Required profile

• Strong focus on customer satisfaction and service quality.
• Proven experience in hiring, team supervision, training and performance management.
• Excellent communication skills for fast‑paced coordination with staff, kitchen and guests.
• Hands‑on knowledge of food & beverage operations and service standards.
• Previous experience as a Restaurant Manager or similar leadership role in hospitality.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Solid understanding of health, safety and hygiene regulations.
• Fluency in Portuguese; English proficiency is an advantage.
