Restaurant Host – Guest Reception & Floor Management

About the role

We are seeking a friendly and organized Host to be the first point of contact for guests at Courage Bistro, part of the Neptune Commune family. You will set the tone for the dining experience by welcoming guests warmly, managing reservations, and ensuring smooth floor flow.

Key responsibilities

• Greet every guest with eye contact, a smile, and genuine warmth.
• Escort guests to their tables, assist with coats, bags, and menus.
• Manage the full reservation process, including bookings, confirmations, special requests, and no‑show prevention.
• Strategically handle the waitlist to maximize table turns and provide accurate wait times.
• Brief the service team on arrivals, special occasions, allergies, and important notes.
• Answer phone calls, keep the host stand clean and organized, and escalate issues to the Team Leader.

Required profile

• Calm, confident, and warm presence that positively influences the room.
• Minimum 1 year experience as a host/hostess in a restaurant setting.
• Ability to multitask without losing composure.
• Proactive attitude – noticing and addressing issues before they are raised.
• Fluent communication in both English and Portuguese.
