Rehabilitation Therapy Technician I

About the role

Encompass Health is seeking a Rehabilitation Therapy Technician I to join its inpatient rehabilitation team. In this role you will assist therapists and nurses in delivering high‑quality, patient‑centered care while maintaining a safe and organized environment.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and maintain therapy equipment for each treatment session.
• Support therapists with daily patient care and therapy activities.
• Prepare, transport, and position patients according to the therapy schedule.
• Facilitate clear communication with patients, families, and caregivers.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure patient safety and effective treatment.
• Observe and report patient responses and outcomes to therapists.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• CPR certification preferred, unless otherwise required by hospital policy.
• Completion of training elements for the clinical ladder Rehab Tech I or equivalent on‑the‑job training.
