Quality Engineer (Tester) – Automation & Performance

About the role

IRIUM is looking for a Quality Engineer (Tester) to join its hybrid team in Lisbon. You will be responsible for ensuring high‑quality software through both automated and manual testing, with a strong focus on performance and AI‑driven testing techniques.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and execute automated test scripts using Selenium and Newman.
• Create and run performance tests with JMeter, covering load, stress and other non‑functional requirements.
• Collaborate with developers, analysts and DevOps to build robust test frameworks.
• Perform manual, functional, regression and exploratory testing.
• Analyse test results, identify bottlenecks and report defects.
• Document test cases, traceability matrices and test reports.
• Contribute to AI‑assisted testing initiatives for test case generation and defect prediction.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s (or Master’s) degree in a relevant field.
• 2‑5 years of experience in software quality assurance.
• ISTQB certification or equivalent.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
