Python Developer – Data Ecosystems & Integration

About the role

Axians is seeking an experienced Python Developer to join an international, multicultural project focused on modern data ecosystems. You will help organisations improve data accessibility, integration and real‑time availability by delivering scalable, secure backend solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse functional and technical requirements and translate them into scalable software solutions.
• Design, develop and maintain backend applications, APIs and micro‑services using Python frameworks such as FastAPI and Flask.
• Build secure, high‑performance architectures and support continuous integration/continuous deployment pipelines.
• Write clean, test‑driven code, execute unit and integration tests, and participate in code reviews.
• Collaborate with business analysts, solution architects and other development teams throughout the software lifecycle.
• Support defect analysis, troubleshooting, documentation and the modernization of existing services.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong expertise in Python, FastAPI, Flask and RESTful API design.
• Solid experience with micro‑services architecture and relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL.
• Proficiency in unit and integration testing frameworks such as PyTest or Unittest.
• Good understanding of clean architecture, design patterns, Git workflows and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Docker, cloud platforms (AWS or similar) and Agile/DevOps environments.
• Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Fluency in English.
