Python Backend Developer

About the role

Join Capgemini Engineering as a Python Backend Developer and help build high‑performance, cloud‑native services for innovative projects ranging from autonomous vehicles to life‑saving robots. You will work in a collaborative, Agile environment and contribute to the full lifecycle of backend solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Python‑based backend services and REST APIs using Flask.
• Implement scalable architectures with Redis caching, Docker containerization, and Kubernetes orchestration.
• Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines and deployments on Azure DevOps and Azure cloud services.
• Work with Databricks and Apache Spark for large‑scale data processing and transformation.
• Optimize database interactions with PostgreSQL and ensure reliability, security, and performance.
• Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, testing, debugging, and production support.

Required profile

• Proven experience in Python backend development and Flask/REST API design.
• Hands‑on knowledge of Redis, Docker, Kubernetes, Azure DevOps, and Azure cloud services.
• Familiarity with Databricks, Apache Spark, and PostgreSQL.
• Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum teams and collaborating across development, DevOps, and data engineering.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to own the end‑to‑end backend lifecycle.
