Purchasing Assistant

About the role

Bosch Car Multimedia, part of the Bosch Group's Automotive Electronics division, is hiring a Purchasing Assistant in Braga. You will support the international purchasing team in driving procurement excellence and ensuring a resilient supply chain, working closely with suppliers and stakeholders worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and analyse purchasing, supplier and market data to find opportunities for standardisation, consolidation and process improvement.
• Contribute to category and material field purchasing strategies and assist in part-family planning and purchasing projects.
• Help coordinate supplier readiness and material availability for new product ramp-ups.
• Identify and communicate supply risks and shortages, and support mitigation actions.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams for stable supply chain operations.
• Prepare reports and support stakeholder communication across organisational levels.
• Manage operational purchasing topics independently and follow up actions on time.
• Contribute to improving purchasing tools and systems, including SAP and PILUM.
• Build strong working relationships with suppliers and international partners.

Required profile

• Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Economics or a related field.
• Initial professional experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, commercial functions or a related area.
• Experience with suppliers or supporting procurement processes is an advantage.
• Fluent English, written and spoken; German is a plus.

Required skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good understanding of data analysis and reporting.
• Negotiation knowledge or experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems is an advantage.
• Ability to build relationships with international stakeholders and manage multiple priorities.
