Project Planner / Design Engineer – 5‑Month International Assignment in Angola

About the role

We are seeking a Project Planner / Design Engineer for a five‑month international assignment on a large‑scale construction and engineering project in Angola. The role offers hands‑on experience in project planning, design documentation, and on‑site supervision while working with a multinational team.

Key responsibilities

• Develop construction and engineering project plans.
• Prepare technical reports, drawings and full project documentation.
• Produce cost estimates, bills of quantities and technical specifications.
• Prepare Health & Safety studies and waste‑management plans.
• Monitor project costs, risks and change management.
• Supervise construction works and ensure compliance with schedules.
• Resolve on‑site issues and liaise directly with the client.
• Supervise and coordinate the assigned project team.

Required profile

• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Building Engineering, Architecture, Architectural Technology or a related discipline.
• 2–3 years of experience in a similar planning or design engineering role.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, Presto and/or MicroStation is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of Technical Building Management (TGA), especially plumbing, mechanical works and HVAC.
• English and/or German language skills are desirable.
• Well‑organized, proactive and solution‑oriented with strong teamwork abilities.
