Project Manager Retail Operations

About the role

ZEISS is seeking a Project Manager for Retail Operations to ensure stable day‑to‑day execution and continuous improvement of global retail processes. The role focuses on order entry, Rx verification, and handling of special customer orders, working closely with IT, Regulatory, and the Customer Support Center.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain stable operational execution of Rx verification across channels and markets, monitor performance and drive improvements.
• Oversee the order entry flow, analyse throughput times and error rates, and support automation initiatives.
• Act as the operational contact for special and complex customer orders, defining and refining handling rules.
• Manage the IT system landscape for order entry, Rx verification and special orders, collaborating on automation ideas and system changes.
• Coordinate system testing, validate changes, and ensure compliance with regulatory and data‑protection requirements.
• Support rollout preparation for new partners and countries, including process documentation and training.

Required profile

• Experience in retail operations or similar process‑focused environments.
• Proven project‑management skills with the ability to drive cross‑functional initiatives.
• Strong analytical mindset to monitor performance metrics and identify improvement opportunities.
• Ability to work closely with IT, regulatory, and commercial teams.
