Project Manager

About the role

Island Finance, the leading financial institution in Puerto Rico, is seeking a Project Manager to lead and deliver business projects across the organization. You will guide cross‑functional teams, ensure projects meet scope, schedule, budget, and quality targets, and act as the main liaison between internal stakeholders, external partners, and suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Define project scope, objectives, timelines, resources, and risk mitigation plans.
• Build and lead cohesive project teams, assign tasks, and foster collaboration.
• Maintain transparent communication with stakeholders and provide regular status updates.
• Identify and manage risks early, developing strategies to reduce uncertainty.
• Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and adjust plans to stay within financial targets.
• Generate progress reports, adjust schedules as needed, and ensure timely delivery.
• Close projects by confirming deliverables, documenting outcomes, and conducting post‑project evaluations.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.

• Proven experience leading business projects in a financial services environment.
• Strong organizational and analytical abilities with a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent communication skills to bridge technical and business teams.
• Ability to make decisions under uncertainty and manage stakeholder expectations.
