Project Buyer – Procurement for New Product Development

About the role

We are looking for a Project Buyer to join our international procurement team at the Albergaria site. You will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing components for new product development across Europe, the US, China and Thailand, ensuring cost, quality and delivery targets are met.

Key responsibilities

• Manage project purchasing for new product development, from sourcing strategy to contract negotiation.
• Conduct international purchasing of assemblies and components, selecting suppliers and analysing quotations.
• Ensure delivery timelines, cost efficiency and quality standards for product launches.
• Monitor market trends, pricing and emerging technologies to support cost optimisation.
• Coordinate between project and series purchasing, tracking tool and sample schedules.
• Maintain project documentation, cost tracking and supplier performance records.
• Participate in global project meetings and support complexity reduction initiatives.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of purchasing experience, preferably in project buying.
• Strong negotiation and communication abilities.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Experience working in an international environment.
• Fluent English; Portuguese is a plus.
• Technical understanding of electronics, plastics or tooling is desirable.
