Project Buyer

About the role

Join Grohe Portugal’s international procurement team as a Project Buyer, supporting new product development for a leading sanitary brand. You will work in a hybrid model from our Albergaria site, collaborating with global teams across Europe, the US, China and Thailand.

Key responsibilities

• Manage project purchasing for new product development, ensuring cost, quality and timeline targets.
• Develop sourcing strategies and conduct international purchasing of assemblies and components.
• Select suppliers, lead contract negotiations and analyse quotations.
• Monitor delivery schedules, cost efficiency and quality standards.
• Track tool and sample schedules, guarantee material availability for product launches.
• Maintain project documentation, cost tracking and support cost‑optimisation initiatives.
• Participate in global project meetings and coordinate with series purchasing.
• Manage supplier relationships and performance monitoring.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of purchasing experience, preferably in project buying.
• Strong negotiation and communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
• Experience in international environments.
• Fluent English; Portuguese is a plus.
• Technical understanding of electronics, plastics or tooling is desirable.
