Production Operator – Pharmaceutical Manufacturing

About the role

Hovione is seeking a Production Operator to join its Tejo site, supporting the manufacturing of pharmaceutical products, including highly potent compounds. The role ensures compliance with cGMP, health, safety and environmental standards while contributing to a safe and efficient production environment.

Key responsibilities

• Execute production activities autonomously according to procedures, instructions and schedules.
• Maintain accurate production documentation and equipment records.
• Identify safety and quality risks, propose improvements and use PPE and equipment correctly.
• Develop technical knowledge of processes, equipment operation and manufacturing systems such as SAP, LIMS and SchedulePro.
• Support training and integration of new or transferred operators.
• Keep the facility clean, organized and ensure equipment calibration and proper identification.
• Participate in audits, investigations, meetings and training sessions, communicating issues and solutions.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives and document revisions.

Required profile

• Full secondary education.
• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in fine chemicals or pharmaceuticals.
• Good understanding of unit operations and GMP regulations.

Required skills

• cGMP compliance.
• Health, safety and environment (HSE) awareness.
• Proficiency with SAP.
• Proficiency with LIMS.
• Proficiency with SchedulePro.
• Equipment calibration and documentation.
