Production Manager

About the role

Artnovion is seeking a Production Manager to lead day‑to‑day factory operations, ensuring that output meets quality, cost and delivery targets while fostering continuous improvement across the production floor.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and oversee daily production activities to meet order volumes and delivery deadlines, including export shipments.
• Lead, train and develop the production team, managing shift schedules and workforce capacity in line with demand.
• Apply lean manufacturing principles to improve process efficiency, reduce waste and optimise resource use.
• Monitor and enforce quality control standards throughout the manufacturing process, working closely with the quality team.
• Manage production planning and capacity in coordination with sales, supply chain and R&D departments.
• Identify and implement process improvements, new equipment needs and workflow optimisations.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations on the shop floor.
• Report on production KPIs (output, efficiency, defect rates, on‑time delivery) to management.

Required profile

• Proven experience in production or manufacturing management.
• Ability to lead, train and develop production teams.
• Strong communication skills in English; Portuguese proficiency is beneficial.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Experience working cross‑functionally with sales, supply chain and R&D.
