Product Engineer

About the role

EID is seeking a Product Engineer to join its Product Management team. The role bridges Product Management, R&D, Supply Chain and Manufacturing, ensuring new products are industrialised, cost‑optimised and managed throughout their lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Support the industrialisation of new products using Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
• Develop, maintain and manage product structures, article coding and Bills of Materials (BOMs) within ERP/PLM systems.
• Calculate, monitor and optimise industrial product costs, identifying value‑engineering opportunities.
• Coordinate engineering change management and keep product documentation up‑to‑date.
• Monitor product reliability, component obsolescence and support risk‑mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Procurement, Quality and R&D to support production activities, component qualification and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in product engineering, industrialisation, New Product Introduction (NPI) or similar roles.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, product lifecycle management and industrial cost analysis.
• Proficiency with ERP and/or PLM systems.
• Ability to interpret technical documentation, electronic schematics and mechanical drawings.
