Product Designer – Mechanical Engineering (CREO)

About the role

The Product Designer will join Bontaz Portugal’s Development Center, supporting Product Engineers in creating and validating electromechanical components for the mobility sector. Working under the Design Team Lead, you will translate customer requirements into robust, cost‑effective solutions that meet quality and deadline criteria.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse customer input data, specifications and rating information to define product functions.
• Develop 3D geometry, detailed drawings and component dimensions using CREO.
• Perform calculations, simulations and design verification plans (DVP) for prototypes and sub‑systems.
• Collaborate with Technical Designers to ensure seamless integration of sub‑assemblies.
• Validate sub‑system performance through testing and documentation.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Familiarity with quality tools such as APQP and AMDEC.
• Experience in the automotive or electromechanical sector is a plus.
• Fluent English (written and spoken); French is advantageous.
• Dynamic, team‑oriented, autonomous and adaptable.
