Procurement Excellence Specialist

About the role

ALTEN Portugal is looking for a proactive Procurement Excellence Specialist to drive process improvements, digital transformation, and stakeholder engagement across the organization. You will analyze data, optimize procurement processes, and implement strategic initiatives that position procurement as a key business partner.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and analyze data to identify improvement opportunities and support process optimisation initiatives.
• Translate business requirements into clear, structured process improvements and contribute to the execution of agreed changes.
• Develop and maintain implementation plans, coordinate activities, and monitor progress of assigned projects.
• Drive stakeholder engagement across Finance, Legal, Quality, Digital and Maintenance & Engineering to deploy new processes and tools.
• Support rollout and adoption of digital procurement tools through training, communication, user feedback collection, and post‑implementation activities.
• Create training materials to build internal capabilities.
• Maintain process documentation and ensure sustainable adoption of procurement processes and tools.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in Procurement, Procurement Excellence, Supply Chain, Business Transformation or Consulting.
• Proven track record of identifying and implementing improvement initiatives.
• Experience working in international, cross‑functional, project‑based environments.
• Working knowledge of procurement and/or supply chain processes.
• Experience supporting digital transformation and system implementation (advantageous).
• Hands‑on experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.

Required skills

• SAP
