Pre‑Sales Engineer (French speaker)

About the role

Sovos is looking for a French‑speaking Pre‑Sales Engineer to act as a strategic technical advisor on complex, multi‑country sales engagements. You will partner with sales, alliances, product, and professional services teams to drive revenue growth across our tax and compliance technology portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Lead discovery sessions with global customers to map transaction flows, ERP landscapes, and regulatory exposure.
• Design scalable, cross‑border solution architectures that meet business and compliance needs.
• Position the commercial value of Sovos solutions and influence senior technical and business stakeholders.
• Own technical responses for enterprise RFPs, RFIs, and global tenders.
• Deliver tailored demonstrations reflecting global regulatory and ERP scenarios.
• Collaborate with sales to shape account strategy and ensure smooth hand‑over to implementation teams.
• Contribute to global pre‑sales best practices, messaging, and competitive positioning.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of experience in sales engineering or technical pre‑sales within enterprise software.
• Proven ability to support complex, multi‑country or enterprise‑level deals.
• Strong communication skills in French and English.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently and as part of cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Understanding of ERP systems and integration concepts.
• Experience with RFP/RFI response processes.
• Ability to quickly grasp regulatory frameworks and articulate business impact.
