Pharmacy Customer Service Associate (Certified)

About the role

This position supports the pharmacy team by delivering a friendly, efficient checkout experience while assisting the pharmacist with prescription processing under direct supervision. The role blends customer service with basic pharmacy operations in a fast‑paced retail environment.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers, answer questions, and resolve issues to ensure a positive experience.
• Operate the cash register: process sales, handle cash, issue refunds, voids, rain checks and exchanges.
• Maintain clean, well‑stocked counters and shelves; perform inventory checks and merchandising tasks.
• Enter patient and drug information into pharmacy computer systems, retrieve and count medications, and verify prescriptions.
• Report prescription errors immediately and follow the Quality Improvement Program.
• Handle non‑clinical phone calls, process manual third‑party claims, and perform clerical duties.
• Assist with inventory management activities such as receiving, checking, and storing pharmaceutical shipments.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Pharmacy Customer Service Associate.
• Ability to work under direct supervision of a pharmacist and follow state/federal regulations.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling medication information.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
