People Operations Generalist – Iberia (Lisbon)

About the role

Habyt is the world’s largest flexible housing company, looking for a proactive People Operations Generalist to keep its Lisbon office running smoothly. You will own core HR processes, ensure compliance, and deliver a seamless employee experience throughout the employment lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the main point of contact for employees and managers on HR matters.
• Prepare contracts, addendums, references and other HR documentation.
• Manage onboarding and off‑boarding, maintain employee records in BambooHR, and coordinate monthly payroll with external providers.
• Ensure compliance with local tax reporting, SAF‑T billing, labor laws and internal policies.
• Oversee the Lisbon office – keep it organized, stocked and presentable, handle bills, post and vendor relationships.
• Provide ad‑hoc administrative support to the CEO, including calendar coordination and local paperwork.
• Organise team events and promote a strong company culture.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of experience in office management or HR.
• Fluent in English and Portuguese; additional languages a plus.
• Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and a proactive mindset.
• Solid understanding of employment law and HR processes.
• Ability to work onsite five days a week.
