Paralegal Specialist – Legal & Compliance (Pharma)

About the role

The Paralegal Specialist provides essential legal and compliance support to the Director of Legal & Compliance within a highly regulated pharmaceutical environment. The role ensures contract management, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance align with U.S. federal and Puerto Rico legal requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in drafting, reviewing, and revising contracts, NDAs, statements of work, amendments, and related legal documents.
• Maintain contract templates and coordinate execution, tracking, renewals, and repository management.
• Support preparation of corporate governance materials, including resolutions, filings, and internal approvals.
• Maintain statutory records and corporate documentation required by applicable laws.
• Assist with regulatory filings, registrations, and compliance documentation for healthcare, data privacy, employment, and corporate frameworks.
• Coordinate responses to audits, regulatory inquiries, and information requests with internal stakeholders and external counsel.
• Serve as primary liaison between local operations and corporate legal function, managing outside counsel interactions, matter tracking, and invoice support.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, Procurement, and Business Operations on legal and compliance documentation.
• Support bilingual (Spanish/English) legal communications as required.

Required profile

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or a related field.
• 3+ years of paralegal or legal support experience, preferably in corporate, healthcare, regulated, or compliance‑driven environments.
• Experience supporting contract management and corporate documentation.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Preferred: experience supporting legal or compliance functions in Puerto Rico and familiarity with U.S. federal and Puerto Rico regulatory requirements.
• Paralegal certification is a plus but not required.
