Ocean Transport Monitoring Specialist

About the role

The Ocean Transport Monitoring Specialist ensures end‑to‑end performance of ocean shipments, providing timely and visible stock delivery for Nestlé Business Solutions. You will work closely with markets, suppliers, carriers and internal teams to resolve issues and drive service excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the team to enhance the transport monitoring (Track & Trace) process.
• Resolve exceptions throughout ocean transport promptly.
• Maintain data accuracy in the Ocean Platform and Dashboard for full market visibility.
• Coordinate loading dates with the export team and track containers from loading point to port of loading.
• Monitor shipments for deviations, update ETAs, and inform markets.
• Manage arrival notices, follow up on empty container returns, and handle change‑of‑destination requests.
• Oversee platform performance against SLAs and ensure business continuity.
• Support operational tasks, conduct health checks, and lead continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Technical university degree.
• At least 5 years of experience in freight forwarding or shipping lines (import/export).
• Strong customer‑service orientation.
• Knowledge of physical logistics and supply‑chain project management.
• Experience working with external providers.
• Advanced English; Spanish is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools (Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint, etc.).
