Ocean Logistics Operations Expert

About the role

The Ocean Logistics Operations Expert is responsible for overseeing end‑to‑end ocean shipment performance, ensuring that stock arrives on time, efficiently and with full visibility. You will work closely with markets, suppliers, carriers and internal teams to monitor transport milestones, resolve exceptions and continuously improve processes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and enhance the transport monitoring (Track & Trace) process.
• Ensure timely resolution of exceptions throughout ocean transport.
• Maintain accurate data in the Ocean Platform and Dashboard for market visibility.
• Coordinate loading dates with the export team and track containers from loading point to port of loading.
• Monitor shipments for deviations, update ETAs and inform markets as needed.
• Handle arrival notices, empty container returns and change‑of‑destination requests.
• Oversee platform performance against SLAs and ensure business continuity.
• Support operational tasks, conduct health checks and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Technical university degree.
• At least 5 years of experience in freight forwarding or shipping lines (import/export).
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Knowledge of physical logistics and supply‑chain project management.
• Advanced English proficiency (Spanish is a plus).
