Ocean Transport Monitoring Analyst

About the role

The Ocean Transport Monitoring Specialist oversees end‑to‑end ocean shipment performance, ensuring timely, efficient, and visible stock delivery. The role continuously monitors transport milestones, optimizes shipment management systems, and partners closely with markets, suppliers, shippers, carriers, and Global Logistics Procurement to resolve issues and drive service excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the team in enhancing the transport monitoring (Track & Trace) process.
• Ensure timely resolution of exceptions throughout ocean transport.
• Safeguard data accuracy in the Ocean Platform and Dashboard for full market visibility.
• Coordinate loading dates with the export team and track containers from loading point to POL.
• Monitor shipments for deviations, update ETAs, and inform markets accordingly.
• Manage arrival notices, follow‑up on empty container returns, and handle COD requests.
• Oversee platform performance against SLAs while ensuring business continuity.
• Support operational tasks, conduct health checks, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Technical university degree.
• 5 years of experience in freight forwarding or shipping lines (import/export).
• Strong customer service skills.
• Knowledge of physical logistics.
• Supply chain project management experience.
• Experience working with providers.
• Advanced English (Spanish is a plus).
• Microsoft 365 proficiency (Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint, etc.).
