Ocean Logistics Operations Expert

About the role

The Ocean Logistics Operations Expert will oversee end‑to‑end ocean shipment performance for Nestlé Business Solutions, ensuring timely and visible delivery of stock across markets. You will monitor transport milestones, optimise shipment management systems and collaborate with suppliers, carriers and internal teams to resolve issues and drive service excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the team in enhancing the Track & Trace process for ocean transport.
• Ensure timely resolution of exceptions and deviations throughout the shipment journey.
• Maintain accurate data in the Ocean Platform and Dashboard to provide full visibility for markets.
• Coordinate loading dates with export teams and monitor containers from loading point to port of loading.
• Update ETAs, inform markets of changes and manage arrival notices, empty‑container returns and COD requests.
• Monitor platform performance against SLAs, conduct health checks and drive continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Technical university degree.
• Minimum 5 years experience in freight forwarding or shipping lines (import/export).
• Strong customer‑service orientation.
• Knowledge of physical logistics and supply‑chain project management.
• Advanced English; Spanish is a plus.
