Observability Engineer (Site Reliability)

About the role

La Redoute is seeking an Observability Engineer with a strong Site Reliability Engineering mindset to design, implement and scale its company‑wide observability platform. You will work in a cross‑functional team, ensuring that metrics, logs, traces and real‑user monitoring are reliable, automated and cost‑effective.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain observability pipelines covering metrics, logs, traces and RUM.
• Implement and operate the Grafana Cloud stack (Tempo, Loki, Mimir, Alloy) together with OpenTelemetry and Zabbix.
• Create low‑maintenance alerting and monitoring based on SLOs/SLAs.
• Ensure data integrity from instrumentation to dashboards and support cost‑optimization (FinOps) initiatives.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to embed observability by design.
• Define best practices, replace legacy monitoring solutions and contribute to open‑source tools.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience as an SRE, Observability Engineer or similar role.
• Hands‑on experience with OpenTelemetry or comparable instrumentation tools.
• Strong product‑oriented mindset with a “you build it, you run it” attitude.
• Fluency in English.
