Network Support Engineer – Access Point Replacement

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Network Support Engineer to perform an onsite Access Point (AP) replacement in Lisbon, Portugal. The role involves configuring a new AP, assisting a remote team with provisioning, validating connectivity, and documenting the activity.

Key responsibilities

• Connect the new AP to a laptop via console cable and perform initial configuration under remote guidance.
• Remove the existing AP, install and securely mount the new unit, and apply asset tags.
• Conduct connectivity tests, troubleshoot any issues, and verify proper operation.
• Capture two clear photographs of the installed AP, factory‑reset the old device, and prepare it for disposal.
• Document the work performed and obtain customer sign‑off.

Required profile

• Proficient in English and the local language (Portuguese).
• Comfortable working independently onsite for a short, defined period.
• Strong communication skills to coordinate with remote support teams and the customer.
