Monetization Specialist (Mobile App Growth)

About the role

Air Apps, a family-founded company building an AI-powered Personal & Entrepreneurial Resource Planner, is hiring a Monetization Specialist for a fully onsite position in Lisbon. You will scale the company's growth by owning subscription and ad monetization strategies across its mobile app portfolio, working closely with cross-functional teams in person. Relocation support is available.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze industry trends and competitor strategies to find monetization opportunities.
• Design and implement strategies to maximize subscription and ad revenue.
• Create user segmentation frameworks and experimentation hypotheses for monetization.
• Model financial opportunities and expected outcomes for monetization initiatives.
• Analyze pricing strategies and benchmarks, and set up subscriptions and pricing tiers on App Store Connect.
• Experiment with in-app paywall placements, layouts and calls-to-action to optimize conversion.
• Develop win-back strategies for lapsed users and initiatives to reduce churn.
• Identify upsell opportunities and improve free trial starts and onboarding flows.
• Ensure monetization does not harm the user experience and document strategies, tests and performance data.
• Monitor compliance with Apple's policies and international regulations.

Required profile

• About 4+ years of experience in mobile app monetization, focused on subscriptions and/or ad revenue.
• Solid understanding of in-app purchases, paywall design, pricing models and subscription lifecycle management.
• Experience with ad monetization platforms (e.g. AdMob, IronSource, AppLovin) and A/B testing tools.
• Strong analytical skills, including cohort analysis, revenue modeling and performance reporting.
• Familiarity with App Store Connect and Apple's monetization policies.
• Collaborative, cross-functional mindset and a passion for balancing user experience with revenue.
