Mobile Engineer

About the role

Octo Health is building a health‑focused operating system that unifies medical data into a single, user‑owned record. As a Mobile Engineer you will shape the primary interface that users interact with daily, leveraging AI‑assisted tools to accelerate development while maintaining high quality.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement a cross‑platform mobile app using React Native and TypeScript.
• Write, debug, and optimise code with AI‑driven prompts and tools (Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, etc.).
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver features.
• Maintain code quality, testing coverage, and performance standards.
• Identify and refactor technical debt.
• Manage app releases on the Apple App Store and Google Play.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipeline improvements for mobile development.
• Adapt quickly to startup needs and step in wherever required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent hands‑on experience.
• 3+ years of professional software development with a strong mobile focus.
• Proven ability to ship and maintain high‑quality apps on both iOS and Android.
• Strong problem‑solving, debugging, and performance‑tuning skills.
• Effective communication in English, both written and spoken.
