Mobile Engineer

About the role

Octo Health is building a health operating system that unifies medical data into a single, user‑owned record. As a Mobile Engineer you will own the primary mobile experience, delivering fast, beautiful, and scalable applications that millions of users will interact with daily.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a React Native mobile app using TypeScript, leveraging AI‑assisted development tools for rapid prototyping.
• Engineer prompts to generate, debug, and optimise code, turning AI outputs into maintainable production code.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to ensure seamless feature delivery.
• Maintain high code quality, test coverage, and performance standards.
• Identify and refactor technical debt, improving the codebase over time.
• Manage app releases on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipeline enhancements for mobile development.
• Adapt quickly to startup needs and step in wherever required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent hands‑on experience.
• 3+ years of professional software development with a strong focus on mobile.
• Proven track record of shipping and maintaining high‑quality apps on both iOS and Android platforms.
• Strong problem‑solving, debugging, and performance‑tuning abilities.
• Effective communication in English, both written and spoken.
