Mobile Application Developer – Remote (Portugal)

About the role

We are seeking a Mobile Application Developer to join BJAK’s AI‑enabled neobank team. The role is fully remote for candidates based in Portugal and focuses on building and enhancing our mobile app for Android and iOS users. You will work on AI‑driven features that personalize financial services for millions of users.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement new features across Android, iOS or cross‑platform codebases.
• Create end‑to‑end journeys for onboarding, accounts, payments, cards, transfers, rewards, travel, FX and AI‑assisted functionalities.
• Collaborate with backend, design, product and AI teams to deliver reliable customer‑facing features.
• Monitor production feedback, analytics, crash reports and user behaviour to improve app quality.
• Raise the standard for mobile UX, reliability and performance across the product.
• Maintain code quality through code reviews, automated testing and continuous integration pipelines.

Required profile

• Proven experience shipping production‑grade mobile applications used by real users.
• Strong product sense and attention to edge cases, loading states and performance.
• Ability to work independently, own features from problem definition to release.
• Clear evidence of shipped work (app links, GitHub repos, screenshots, or project descriptions).
• Comfortable handling production issues, crash analysis and rapid iteration.
