Microsoft Systems Administrator – Hybrid (Oeiras)

About the role

We are looking for a Microsoft Systems Administrator to support our enterprise environment of over 10,000 users in Oeiras. The role combines design, implementation and ongoing management of Windows‑based infrastructures and virtualised platforms in a hybrid work setting.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and administer Microsoft‑based infrastructures and systems.
• Manage virtualised environments using Hyper‑V and VMware.
• Deploy, rack and maintain server hardware from major vendors.
• Install and configure Microsoft SQL Server.
• Monitor server performance and ensure high availability.
• Handle network configuration and troubleshooting (VLANs, switching, DNS, DHCP).
• Provide high‑level service and customer support.

Required profile

• High school diploma, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in Microsoft systems administration.
• ITIL knowledge (preferably ITIL Foundation 2011 certification).
• Relevant Microsoft certifications are a plus.

Required skills

• Microsoft Windows Server administration.
• Hyper‑V and VMware virtualization.
• Microsoft SQL Server installation and configuration.
• Networking protocols: Ethernet, VLAN, VPN, IPSec, SNMP, TCP/IP, IPv4, IPv6, DNS, DHCP.
• Hardware platforms: HPE, Dell, IBM servers.
• Server monitoring and management tools.
• ITIL Foundation knowledge.
• Microsoft certification (e.g., MCSA, MCSE).
