Metrology Engineer – Calibration & Traceability

About the role

As a Metrology Engineer at Bosch, you will ensure the reliability, traceability and regulatory compliance of measuring equipment, data acquisition systems and test benches. You will support product development and innovation by delivering precise, repeatable test results.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute calibrations of temperature, pressure, flow, humidity and electrical measurement instruments.
• Define and maintain calibration plans, verification schedules and traceability to national and international standards.
• Analyse calibration certificates, evaluate measurement uncertainties and investigate instrument drift.
• Develop calibration procedures, instructions and best practices.
• Support internal and external audits (ISO 9001, ISO/IEC 17025) and manage suppliers and external calibration labs.
• Validate new sensors, equipment and data acquisition (DAQ) systems and assist development, laboratory and quality teams in interpreting results.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Physics, Instrumentation or Industrial Engineering or a comparable field.
• Hands‑on experience with calibration of temperature, pressure, flow, humidity and electrical parameters.
• Experience in applied metrology, traceability management and measurement uncertainty analysis.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Required skills

• Calibration of temperature, pressure, gas/water flow, humidity, voltage, current, resistance and power.
• Measurement uncertainty calculation and analysis.
• Data acquisition systems (DAQ) and industrial instrumentation.
• LabVIEW, Excel, Power BI or equivalent calibration software.
• Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 and ISO 9001 audit processes.
