Manufacturing Manager - Pharma Operations

About the role

The Manufacturing Manager represents ALPLA at the plant level and leads all manufacturing activities within the Pharma Operations business. The role focuses on securing the plant’s future through optimisation, continuous improvement and effective planning, production and maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all manufacturing activities across the pharma packaging plant.
• Drive optimisation and continuous‑improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and cost‑effectiveness.
• Oversee planning, production scheduling and maintenance operations.
• Monitor performance metrics and cost calculations to ensure targets are met.
• Develop and train the operations team, fostering a culture of safety and quality.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s, Master’s or Diploma degree with a strong affinity for operations/manufacturing.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably plastic packaging.
• Deep understanding of cost calculation and performance metrics.
• Proven leadership experience with the ability to train and develop teams.
• Advanced MS Office skills and ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
