Manufacturing Engineer – 2nd Shift

About the role

Abbott is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join the Abbott Vascular manufacturing team on the 2nd shift. The engineer will act as the primary technical liaison for a dedicated production line, collaborating closely with supervisors, quality engineers, and operators to ensure safe, high‑quality output.

Key responsibilities

• Own line output, safety, yield and quality performance.
• Identify product defects and implement operational or process actions to reduce them.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and generate work orders for repairs.
• Partner with the line support team to triage non‑conformances, contain issues, and support engineering change requests.
• Provide engineering fixes such as tooling modifications and sustain improvements.

Required profile

• Engineering background with experience supporting manufacturing operations.
• Strong teamwork orientation with line supervisors, quality engineers and operators.
• Accountability for quality, safety, output and yield of the assigned line.
• Ability to act as the engineering representative on the shop floor.
