Product Design Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Product Design Engineer to join our global engineering team in Santarém. The role focuses on creating tailored design solutions for cloud‑based environments and critical infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Support the global engineering strategy and develop designs that align with market positioning.
• Collaborate with customers and internal teams (project management, sales, R&D, manufacturing) to translate concepts into full‑scale production.
• Integrate innovative and sustainable technologies into product offerings.
• Produce visualisations, presentations and prototypes using advanced engineering tools.
• Standardise engineering practices across regions and ensure brand consistency.
• Report progress, milestones and risks to the Lead Product Design Engineer.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Design, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in engineering/design, preferably in data‑centre, construction or critical‑infrastructure sectors.
• Experience with modular or skid system design is an advantage.
• Ability to travel occasionally.

Required skills

• Proficiency in 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Inventor and Onshape.
• Strong knowledge of cloud‑based environment impacts on design.
• Excellent command of English for global communication.

What we offer

• Entry‑level gross annual base salary of €24 000.
• Meal allowance of €9.50 per day via meal card.
